Installation: macOS

Built macOS applications of Celbridge are distributed as .dmg installers.

Note

Celbridge only runs on Apple silicon (M1 or later)

Intel Macs are not supported: the app ships as an Apple silicon build only, and Rosetta cannot run it.

Installation steps

  1. Download the latest .dmg installer from the downloads page page of the celbridge.org website.
  2. When prompted, copy the application icon into the Applications folder.
  3. Launch Celbridge from the Applications folder, if it doesn't launch automatically.

The installer is 131MB, after installation the application takes up 350MB.

System minimum requirements

Component Minimum
Operating system macOS 15 "Sequoia" or later
Processor Apple silicon (M1 or later)
Memory 8 GB of RAM
Storage 1 GB of free space

Note

Nothing else needs to be installed on a Mac. Celbridge bundles its own .NET runtime, and the document editors use the WebKit engine built into macOS.
